School is off to a great start!

Hello All: So sorry that once again it has been over a month since we blogged. August flew by and so did September. We are ready for October at the Taliaferro house. We love Halloween. This year it falls on a Friday night and both girls will be trick or treating together.... so cute! My student teaching has just flown by I have 9 more weeks. I have learned so much about first graders.... they are EXHAUSTING!!! In 2 weeks I will move into special education to finish up my student teaching.
Well, anyway every year Jason's parents have this really pretty vine that grows up their deck, we took Ava's picture there when she was just 4 months old and now when she is a year and 4 months old. Hopefully we can take these pictures here every year on the same date.
We got to see one of my brother's football games last weekend. His team is doing pretty good this year and way better than last year.
We haven't had much time to do anything else but lesson plans, lesson plans, lesson plans. Being a teacher is so much planning!!!! I can't wait until I have my own classroom. Hope to see all of you this fall!!! Love the Taliaferro's

summer has ended for the Taliaferro's:

Well Summer has come and gone already for us! I can't believe how time flies...... Here are a look at a few things we have done this past few weeks. These days are so much fun for the girls and I! We really just play and swim and hang out all day . I know Mira had a great summer with swimming lessons, camp, her first crush, sleepovers, ice cream lots and lots of ice cream, late nights, talking on the phone, getting a new bedroom, and really overall just growing up into a beautiful and talented young lady... she's going to be 11 this November!!! I just remember her as this little girl who loved to dance and tell jokes with her sweet little voice...oh the memories!!!

Ava has had a great summer too! She is of course just 1 and really adventouous! It is so humerous to watch her and she has no concept of "spacial areas" she thinks that her chunky little legs and booty will fit into every corner and under everything... so cute. Although this has been a very trying summer for mommy and daddy, Ava has been cutting lots of little teeth this summer and boy oh boy it has been tough! She is getting into everything she is not suppossed to and she has learned how to throw tantrums... but hey what are the toddler years for right?

Jason and I are pretty much the same, no major changes this summer! I do start my LAST semester before achieving my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in K-6 Special Education. I am student teaching at a local elementary school in first grade! I start this wednesday!!!! Yeah, Hope to learn lots!! Jason is still working on building 3 new buildings at Fort Riley in Junction City KS. He says these 100 degree days are starting to wear on him! That's enough rambeling for now... enjoy a look at the Taliaferro's 2008 Summer Pictures! Mira in Swimming Lessons --She's moved up to Advanced Level 5 !

This smile is what keeps me going every day! She loves to giggle... so girly!
Jason and Mira do a lot of relaxing in the pool........ lazy bums!
Ava's first adventure with watermelon..... what fun. This actually took over an hour!

Cooper and Macey stopped by for a visit last weekend! We miss them so much!
Ava's friends from mommy's work-- they are all 6 weeks apart.... they are sitting in order.
Mira painting her new room-- pea pod green! It's really pretty -she picked all the colors out!
We gave an old bookshelf new life.... beautiful!
The finished product.. polka dots everywhere! She loves it!

July... sweet sweet summer!

Mira wanted to turn the camera on herself, I'd say she did a pretty good job! What a beautiful girl she is growing up to be..... SO independent and charming..... I just love this girl!
Coach and Ava visited some dairy cows, Ava really did have fun until they started to MOO!
This is what I have to clean up EVERY day! Today it just happened to be oreo's... I know, I know I learned my lesson-- NO more Oreo's!
One of the few photos taken at Tablerock on our vacation this past week!. The swimming pools were amazing and the lake was awsome!
Mira getting ready for the ride of her life on a jetski! SO much fun!!!

June-- going, going, going GONE!

Ok well, it has almost been a month since I have blogged! I am so sorry! Let's see.... June: Well Mira moved down here and started Back to Nature Camp at Gage park and she loves it! I found out this past week that a "boy" asked her to dance at the skating rink..... Her dad and I don't really know how to feel about that yet?? Ava is going to daycare from noon to four while I am at school, she loves her daycare and can officially say all of her teachers names. The daycare is attached with Washburn University so I get to see her between classes. Which brings me to my next point--SCHOOL! Ahhhh I am really ready to be done. I have one more semester left until December graduation. This summer class is keeping me extrmely busy. I have and 80 page paper to write before June 26th and I am on page4. Anyway on to the fun news: Ava turned one on May 20th! My how time flies...... Most of these pictures are from her birthday weekend. We had so much fun. The theme for her birthday was "Butterfly Garden Party" it was really sweet. She has definently entered "toddler-stage" She is needy, clingy, independent, loving, tired and cranky all at the same time! IT"S EXHAUSTING. Well ,I WILL post a picture of our new bathroom very soon. It is completed but I don't have any pictures on my camera of it just yet. It is beautiful and Jason did a beautiful job creating it. Talk to all of you soon! Love, The Taliaferro's ;)

That's all for now! Hope to have some swimming pictures up soon too! We need to get out of the stormy season we've been having and enjoy our pool! Miss ya'll
