37 DAYS LEFT.....

Well....not that I's counting or anything but there are 37 days left of school for me this year......that is "teaching" however I do have 6 more weeks of Master's classes left until summer at which then I "get" to take 2 more lovely classes.  Having said that sarcastically I really do have to say that it is hard, long nights, lots of homework, but eh-- I'm OVER half way done...yes over half way and I actually do enjoy these classes very much. At first I thought "Amber....why are you getting your masters in Special Education" then I realized that I love children. All children. Slow learners and average learners and all learners! I love helping kids and making a difference. I really do think that every teacher does make a difference in one way or another. I have learned more about kids in my 15 hours of Masters classes then I ever thought I would have. Kids are truly my passion. Not only my own kids, but All kids. I want the best life for all of them. There truly are some very sad situations and cases that I cant get involved in. but that just makes me pass out the smiles and the love more than ever! Of course there are days I am tired and "over it" but in the big scheme of things I want to continue to learn and grow as a teacher to become the best I can be. I hope that each one of you reading this truly loves your job and love doing what you do every day, it really does make life a little  bit sweeter!

All good things must come to an end.....bummer

Well yes it's true all good things must come to an end...spring break is officially over for 2010. This was a wonderful week other than the weather not cooperating for most of it. We had a great time and all 4 of us were home all week. We experienced rain, mist, ice, snow, sun, 60 degrees and 20 degrees..............whew thats what we get for living in Kansas!!! Enjoy a bit of our week in pictures.

The one day the weather was great this week we headed to KC to visit the zoo to add to our "\zoo tour" that we started back in 2005. It was a good zoo, but very large...we walked for 4 straight hours and still skipped a few exhibits....whew long day!

when we got home the kids (and Jason) decided to play with sidewalk chalk on the driveway...our beautiful artwork lasted 2 days then the ice and snow erased our masterpieces.....

Ava and I attended at 2nd birthday party for our good friend Brecken Dunford. It was a "rock party" theme! the kids had a blast singing and dancing.

Mira and Jason wanted to make funnel cakes over spring break so we finally did it. They were GREAT! She is a chef in the making...actually she cooked 2 of our meals over break too, that she planned out from her cookbook....I cant get her to clean her room...but she would cook all day long!

well, Ava and Mira both agreed they were YUMMY! Funnel cakes got two thumbs up! Ava was yelling "GOOD JOB SISSY"  in this picture!

Overall spring break was great and we had some wonderful family time! I can't wait for summer...it's only 8 weeks away! Enjoy your spring!

Jason's 35th Birthday

To my dearest Husband~

I love you. I love you more than words can say. I hope you had the greatest 35th birthday ever. The years sure are flying by, and I am so grateful that we get to spend it together. I love waking up next to you every day and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you. Happy Birthday my dear. I love you.

Enjoy some of the pictures that I have taken in the last week or so. Ava and I made a long weekend trip to Iowa. We attened a funeral for my cousin Emily, a Wedding for a second cousin Jonathon, and a wonderful 60th birthday for my uncle Steve! It was a very long trip but so worth it! Enjoy my family....

MARCH MADNESS.....

Wll for those of you who have been trying to check out the blog....I AM SO SORRY! It has taken me almost a month to get a new post up. Life has been super crazy at the Taliaferro house hold. I would have to say that there are 2 months in which my house is pretty much crazy. The months of October and March are CrAzY. We seem like we are meeting ourselves coming and going to meetings, classes, work, daycare, and who knows what else. As a teacher, for some reason those 2 months are when everything is starting and there are birthdays I am trying to plan for and school things...welll anyway I am finally back here blogging for a few minutes. I dont have any pictures just yet, but tonight I will add some. Ava and I recently traveled 800 miles, in 3 days. We visited 4 states and 4 cities. We attended a funeral, a wedding, a 60th birthday bash and visited tons of family. I do have some pictures from that fun event!.
I know we are all ready for the warmer temps to come in and I know I will have many more photos to post once the weather gets nicer and we can get outside to take some pics! Well happy weekend and for all you teachers reading this HAPPY SPRING BREAK!!!!!

Valentines 2010 !!!!

Happy Valentines Day to all our friends and family! We are so blessed to have such wonderful daughters. They play so well together and love to giggle and have fun. This St.Valentines day we spent baking and hanging out. Jason made heart shaped pancakes to start our day off, then I made heart shaped pasta and alfredo then the girls and I made strawberry cupcakes and frosting and sprinkles to go along with all the candy they got !!! Yes this was a HUGE mess to clean up.....but sometimes it just doesn't matter how messy life can get its so worth it!

 Ava is wearing her valentines present and Mira's present is in the box behind Ava...a SNUGGIE!! Let's just say she was less than thrilled......I thought she would love it.....oops!
